1.ME.26 Need to Know Access Policy

Procedure:  At the point of hire, a Provider's Supervisor is responsible for reviewing the need to know requirements and limitations based on the code referenced on the Provider's job description. In the event the Human Resources Deprtment develops a new job description, the HR Dept should consult with the Privacy Officer and other Management staff as necessary to determine if a new code is needed or an appropriate classification already exists based on the job responsibilities.
