Policy: Community Care policy is that all employees, contractees, and student interns will observe infection control precautions to prevent the transmission of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus, Tuberculosis, and other bloodborne/airborne pathogens. Community Care employees, contractees, and student interns will observe universal precautions as set forth in policy and are trained at least annually on universal disease precautions. The agency minimizes the risk of exposure to contagious and infectious disease by adhering to CDC and OSHA guidelines.
