Disciplinary Procedures & Dismissal for Cause |
Procedure |
Policy: It shall be the policy of Community Care to provide a period of adjustment following employment in which the employee is given every opportunity to learn to perform the requirements of the job assignment and adapt to the policies, procedures, values, and working conditions of Community Care. This introductory period occurs during the first six months of employment, but can be extended, if needed. Further, it shall be the policy of Community Care that employees who have completed their introductory period successfully but whose job performance becomes unsatisfactory be given every opportunity to understand the deficiencies and given reasonable time to make corrections and demonstrate satisfactory performance. However, where there is misconduct (as defined in the related procedure), the employee may be disciplined (up to and including discharge) without advance notice or prior attempts at corrective action.
