Disaster and Evacuation |
Procedure |
Policy: Community Care policy is that an emergency response system is developed for each facility that prepares for the possibility of the following events: fire, power failures, natural disasters, medical emergencies and bomb threats.
Depending upon the severity of any emergency, occupants of any Community Care facility may evacuate from or relocate to secure sections of the facility. All appropriate actions taken during an emergency must ensure maximum safety for all affected persons and shall assume that the worst case situation may develop. Appropriate training will be provided to all employees regarding this emergency system, including quarterly emergency practice drills. All drills will be documented and filed on site.
