Maintenance Of Agency Facilities |
Procedure |
Policy: Community Care policy is to ensure timely and appropriate maintenance to the overall operations of Agency premises and facilities. The scope of maintenance responsibility extends to the grounds, buildings and equipment of the facilities. Community Care is dedicated to the employment of competent personnel; appropriate training; use of proper materials, tools, and equipment; current procedures and repair methods; adequate supervision and inspection; sound, preventative maintenance and a record keeping program. Community Care’s goal is to maintain facility property, buildings, and equipment so that their intended functions are achieved during their true life expectancies and to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Hazards that jeopardize facility premises from being used or that could lead to the accident, injury or near miss of a client, employee, contractee or visitor are expected to be addressed and corrected immediately. Maintenance objectives include presenting premises with an attractive, well groomed and professional appearance. All maintenance services and preventative maintenance activity shall be rendered on a regular and scheduled basis. Diligent and systematic maintenance keeps facilities in sound repair, resulting in lower operating costs to the agency. Sound maintenance also adds to provider and client satisfaction, cooperation, and favorable attention from the surrounding community.
