Procedure |
Policy: CarePET provides all full and part-time high staff members with paid time away from work. CarePET must have supervisory approval and be scheduled in advance, except in the case of illness or emergency. Except for four paid set holidays (Memorial, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas), the CarePET policy takes the place of sick, absence, holiday, personal time and vacation. This is consistent with the philosophy of Community Care to recognize that each employee’s life style is different from that of another. Community Care expects and encourages employees to use available CarePET time (hours) on a regular basis, at their own discretion, for personal, public service, social, emotional, medical or holiday time off, an occasional illness, parenting, a personal or family emergency. Furthermore, CarePET can be coordinated with or added to bereavement, jury, military or any other Community Care leave policy or federal/state mandated leave benefit.
