Policy: Community Care policy is that good and appropriate health and safety practices for providers are paramount. Community Care is committed to the safety and welfare of its clients and providers and will consistently act to implement and improve an effective and aggressive health and safety program. Identification of and implementation of appropriate protective and preventative measures, training, and investigations of incidents will be the responsibility of the Health & Safety Committee. The primary responsibility for agency health & safety will always be the providers making up Community Care. We encourage and expect the cooperation of all providers in the enforcement of our health & safety program and encourage participation by all. Community Care will conscientiously observe all federal, state, and local health & safety regulations.
Community Care recognizes that in addition to resource allocation and provider empowerment there must also be distinct evaluations, enforcement, and specific safety and health strategies and goals for our Health and Safety Plan to be effective. Community Care will utilize both formal and informal measures to attain these outcomes.
